Fun With Filagree

There are some sets in the Occasions Mini Catalogue that didn't immediately grab my attention when I first saw them - not that I didn't like them, but I just found my eyes were initially drawn elsewhere. After a few weeks had passed, I found myself noticing this set on page 40 - Florentine Filigree.

I finally inked it up and played with it last night and I love it!  It's my new favourite.  I had a go playing with the same colours and sentiment in four different ways.  I love that you can be fairly simple, or as complicated as you like.

The left is the "simple" version I made using the hinge technique with my Stamperatus; the right is the more "stepped up" version using my markers to ink up the round stamp.

What do you think?  It is easy to position the cut out pieces using the Take Your Pick Tool.  I must admit it is the first time I have used it, but it won't be the last!
