On a roll!

I hope you have had a Happy Easter long weekend - I have had a lovely and low-key time at the beach with my family.

In between visits from the tooth fairy and the Easter Bunny, I have been playing with My Digital Studio - it is totally addictive!  I am going to start doing a few tutorials but for now, here's another scrapbook layout:

The templates are so easy to use and can be modified to suit your project.  This one uses the "On the Go" template and the co-ordinating embellishments.  Isn't it cute?  Perfect for projects about (or for) busy boys, big or small!

I've used a few photos of my Thing 4 from our trip to the USA last year - be warned, you'll see lots of them, because I'm finding this a quick way to get "caught up" with scrap booking the thousands of photos sitting in my hard drive!  Not that I've abandoned traditional scrapbooking - but let's face it, I don't always have time to indulge in my hobby.  Being creative, I feel guilty for not doing something with all those pictures, and this way I am doing something in minutes it would have taken me hours to achieve in the traditional way.

it's Finally Here!

Stampin' Up! has finally introduced it's much anticipated digital designing software to markets outside of the USA/Canada.  It's finally here!

My Digital Studio:

I have already downloaded it and played with it a little (ok, a lot!) and I've enrolled myself in an MDS class at our annual Stampin' Up! Convention in May.  I think this is an awesome way to make photo books, calendars, personalised gifts, blog headers, Facebook Timeline banners, stationary, oh, and digital or hybrid scrapbook pages and cards.

I have a new laptop and I haven't managed to successfully migrate all my stuff (like Photoshop Elements) across yet, but I was able to download MDS for free as a Demonstrator because I've registered for Convention.  Sweet!

Here is a digital scrapbook layout I made in minutes with a template in MDS:

Of course, with the arrival of MDS comes the arrival of online shopping from my DBWS website.  So you can shop in your PJs if you like, and have your SU! products come to your door.  Make sure you nominate me as your Demonstrator (or shop via my website) to get Preferred Pricing.

What you Missed: Masculine Cards Class

We used one stamp set (Ciao, Baby!), one embossing folder (Chevron) and one pack of Designer Series Paper (Parker's Patterns) and made 4 different cards and a box for them.  So fun!

Please let me know if you'd like to order the supplies to make your own:

Pop up Posies Designer Kit

I should be cutting up cardstock for my class tomorrow, but I found myself drawn to the Pop Up Posies kit (page 18 of the mini, $22.95) and I found myself playing with these cuties. In the kit, you get 9 embossed crumb cake tags (I hope SU! Brings out a die in this shape, so cute!) and a little "Just for you" stamp, plus precut flowers and brads to make pretty accents. You are supposed to layer the flowers to make 9 but I found you can stretch them much further. I have plenty of cute card ideas or even scrapbook layouts for these!

Lou's cards from the Launch

Last but not least, my cards! Well, technically I CASED both of my cards.

This one I CASED directly from the new Mini, page 3! I used the new Honeycomb embossing folder, Tea for Two DSP, Oh, Hello stamp set (page 4). Apart from cutting out the little hexagons, it came together pretty quickly.

Don't you love this whale? This card is CASED from one I found on Pinterest by Heather Summers (her blog is called Stamp With Heather). This stamp set is called Oh, Whale (page 29) and the DSP is called Sunshine and Sprinkles. The whale is cut out with a matching Clearlit (LOVE IT!) so you can perfectly line up your stamped image and cut it out with your Big Shot. I also used the new gorgeous Cloudy Day embossing folder. Cute!

I hope you enjoyed our projects!

Linda's cards

Linda is the punch queen! Her cards often feature our versatile punches, layered together to add a polished and lovely feature. She is also the queen of pretty florals, as you can see:

Isn't it pretty? I love the simple, elegant colour scheme. These stamps are from the main catalogue, but you might not have noticed them. The pretty floral swirl is Flowering Flourishes (page 121 main catalogue).

A clever square Easel Card! So very cute. Linda has used the edgelit and doily die from the main catalogue (tip: waxed paper placed between the die and the card stock will help all the delicate little doodads pop out easily).

The stamp set used is Summer Silhouettes (page 82 main catalogue). I love these colours together!

And here is lovely Linda (she's my direct up line) with Bec.

Launch Cards By Steph

Here's more crafty cuteness from Steph:

Adorable! Steph used the new honeycomb embossing folder, and the new Rain or Shine stamp set.

More cuteness! This time the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and matching Framelits Dies. The embossing folder and little heart punch is from the main catalogue. Doesn't it work well with this set? Love these colours together too. See the sentiments on the tags? Made with the Word Window Punch and the jewellery tag punch. I will try to do a tutorial to explain how this was done.

And here is the lovely Steph showing off the new Mini! Her blog is Stampingwithsteph.com.au.

Tomorrow: Linda's cards!

Launch cards by Bec

Here is one of the Launch cards designed by Bec O'Gorman:

Gorgeous "male" card, isn't it?

This card uses "That's the Ticket" from the new Mini, (page 27) and the metal button is also new (page 20). She has matched the ticket stamps with the ticket punch from the main catalogue, the Two Tags Bigz die, the Chevron and Lattice embossing folders, twine and ribbon from the main catalogue. The gorgeous stamp is from the Sale A Bration Catalogue, and is available until the 22nd March.

This is so pretty! She used the new Secret Garden flower stamps and Pool Party embossing powder from the new Mini. She's also used white embossing powder and white ribbon from the main catalogue.
And here's a photo of Bec (the tall one) and I at the Launch! I'm lucky to have her as my Stampin' Sista! Bec's blog is heartandcraft.com.au and you should check it out, if you haven't already.
Tomorrow: Steph's cards!

Getting closer....

It's nearly that time of year, where the retirement list comes out.  That means the in-colours we've loved the past 2 years are leav...
