Kristina Werner's Colour Challenge #55 & Mojo Monday week 91

Well, I was too late to play along with Mojo Monday's challenge this week, but I still used their sketch for Kristina's Colour Challenge this week. I have discovered that if I draw a blank on a project, if I have a sketch and/or colour challenge to work with, I can surprise myself!

Here's the Mojo Monday Sketch:

And here are the colours for Kristina's challenge this week:
Basic Gray, Really Rust, More Mustard and Very Vanilla. A Challenge indeed!

Here's what I've done:

I used a retired DSP in More Mustard (the only one I had with any of the Challenge colours!), and inked up this pretty stamp form Only Ovals for the first time (I'm ashamed to say!). I stamped it three times (in each colour) then cut out all the relevant bits to make the multicoloured image - I'm pleased with the way it turned out! I popped the main image panel up on Dimensionals and also pierced two lines as a border around it.

Ingredients: Stamps: Trendy Trees (sentiment on the bottom of the card), Only Ovals
Paper: East Coast Prep DSP (retired), textured Really Rust, Very Vanilla, Basic Gray
Ink: Basic Gray, Really Rust, More Mustard,
Other: Very Vanilla ribbon, Build - a - Brad, small and large oval punches, paper snips, dimensionals, Mat Pack, paper Piercer.

Close up to see the pierced frame and the main image.

The cute build-a-brad using the rose image!

Kristina Werner's Colour Challenge #53

OK - I must confess that when I saw the inspiration picture for this week's challenge I immediately thought of this cute little clear stamp by Sandylion that I have had in my stash for a while, but haven't used before.

I've put Crystal Effects on all the little red dots and in real life the look really shiny. Again, apologies for the poor photography - very overcast this morning!
Recipe:
Stamps: Sandylion (don't know the name), On Your Birthday
Ink: Basic black, real red, pacific point, yo yo yellow, real red marker
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, YoYo Yellow, Pacific Point
Other: eyelets, crystal effects

Kristina Werner's Colour Challenge #52

The last (and first!) time I entered this challenge was #37.....oops, time flies!

The colours to use are:
Baja Breeze, So Saffron, More Mustard, Sahara Sand, Whisper White.

Apologies for the poor lighting (photos taken at night). If I get a chance, I'll take better pictures in the morning.

Here's what I came up with:
The inside:
Another view:
A fairly simple card, it really didn't take long (I was watching Desperate Housewives at the same time, LOL). I'm pleased with it. I decided to leave the sentiment off, so I can add one later when I need the card for something!

I used Upsy Daisy, clear embossed on WW cardstock, sponged with So Saffron & More Mustard ink. The rest is fairly self-explanatory. Oh, and I found a scrap of retired So Saffron DSP to use on the inside edge so it would peek through behind the scalloped edge.

Please check out Kristina's blog and the other entries, it is amazing how many truly fabulous and creative people are out there !

Inks: More Mustard, So Saffron, Versamark (SU!)
Paper: Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand, So Saffron, So Saffron Patterns DSP (retired) all SU!
Other: Baja Breeze ribbon, Baja Breeze button, scallop edge punch, glue dots.

Thanks for looking!

Kristina Werner Colour Challenge #37

Long time lurker, first time poster for Kristina's Colour Challenge.   The colours this week were Old Olive, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White.  Not sure of my results; it may need "something."  Hmm.

As we don't have Baja Breeze here in Australia yet, I substituted a Soft Sky Carousel Note.  I will try to take a better photo tomorrow in daylight, but I was determined to post in plenty of time!   Edited to add:  Here's the daylight photo - as it is overcast this morning, I'm not sure it is much of an improvement!

Here's a close up of the flower - it is a big white flower from the pretties kit,  stamped  in choc chip with En Francais.    The big white brad I've had leftover in my stash and the felt flowers are SU!

Thanks for looking!

Getting closer....

It's nearly that time of year, where the retirement list comes out.  That means the in-colours we've loved the past 2 years are leav...
