All Dressed Up!

Today I was lucky enough to be welcomed into Michele's home for a Stampin' Up! Party. It was so much fun! Michele had six guests, and we spent a rainy afternoon laughing, chatting, drinking coffee, and eating yummy treats - while making cards.

Let me know if you'd like to get a bunch of girlfriends together too. It was the best way to spend a rainy Saturday afternoon, I reckon!

Want to see what we made?

We made this cute, girly card with the All Dressed Up stamp set and matching framelits from the Seasonal Mini Catalogue (page 32). The base card is Pool Party (I am really going to miss that colour), the dress form was cut out with basic black, and the dress was stamped with Primrose Petals Ink before being cut out with the Framelits and the Big Shot. We made our dresses a little fancier with a little Island Indigo ribbon (free during Sale a Bration when you spend $100), and a sweet clear mini button.
While I was designing the card, I decided to play with the same colours and basic layout with a few "stepped up" designs.

This one had an embossed oval (also new in the Mini), a different dress (a girl can't have too many choices, can she?) and the sentiment from Bitty Banners.
Then I stepped it up some more:

"Change of a dress", get it? Tee hee! The cute clothes hanger paper clips are also in the Mini.

Finally, I was inspired by the negative left after cutting out one of the dresses, and thought it would make a great stencil:

What do you think? Which is your favourite?

I think card #2 is my fav.

Getting closer....

It's nearly that time of year, where the retirement list comes out.  That means the in-colours we've loved the past 2 years are leav...
