Graduation Cards


This week marks the end of school forever for this year's crop of Year 12 students.  My daughter volunteered my services to make six cards for the girls in her House who were graduating and I took up the challenge.  The photos aren't brilliant, as I only had time to snap a quick pic with my phone before they were whisked away.
I used one of my favourite stamps - Feel Goods (page 36 of the Catalogue) - because I feel the sentiment "She Believed She Could...So She Did" is particularly inspiring to young women.


And inside, these words from the Something To Say stamp set are pretty applicable for graduates!

Congratulations, Graduates!

In my "day job" I am an online lecturer and my students are about to finish their course.  I'm really proud of them, as they are all working full time and completing the course part time.  I know that isn't easy.  So I thought I would make them each a handmade card to congratulate them.

Because I was making a lot, I made sure they were simple to construct on an assembly - line basis.  I used washi tape for a simple background, and cut out the sentiments with framelits and the Big Shot.

This one for the girls:

Ingredients: Gingham Garden Washi Tape

This one for the boys:

Epic Day Washi Tape
Ink:  Versamark
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Other:  Whisper White Embossing Powder, heat gun, Big Shot, Framelits
I hope they like them.
