Tag Time!

I love going to my local office supply shop!  I love finding boring things, and upcycling them to make something, well, pretty :-) .

Here's what I found at my last visit:

Plain old manilla labels, purchased in bundles of 100.  Look what I did to them:

Stamps:  Creative Elements, Express Yourself (Hostess);  Fibres:  Island Indigo Baker's Twine; Ink:  Gumball Green, Early Espresso, Island Indigo, Soft Suede, Corner rounder punch

Stamps:  Creative Elements, Express Yourself; Ink:  Island Indigo, Soft Suede; Paper:  gold foil (Holiday Mini); Other:  Scallop edge punch; Island Indigo Baker's Twine

Stamps:  Gorgeous Grunge; Label Love; Ink:  Calypso Coral, Pistachio Pudding, Coastal Cabana; Punch:  Artisan Label

Stamp:  Six-Sided Sampler, Postage Collection (Hostess); Ink:  Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight; Other:  Hexagon Punch, Stamp a Majig

Stamps:  Delicate Doilies; Tags 4 You (Holiday Mini), Ink:  Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler; Punch:  Label Bracket Punch, Corner rounder, Fibres: Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine

Stamps:  Magnificent Maple (Holiday Mini), Tags 4 You; Ink:  Gold ink, Early Espresso, Soft Suede; Other - corner rounder punch, Island Indigo Baker's Twine

They were easy to mass produce into groups of six the same and put them into little boxes I made from cardstock and some acetate (I have a stack of leftover acetate book binding sheets, which are also cheaply obtained from an office supply shop).  Unfortunately, I didn't  keep notes of the measurements I used to make the boxes, but they were easy to make.  I used sticky strip to adhere the boxes together (awesome stuff), and tied with a ribbon.

I made these tags for a customer to give as Christmas presents.  I'm currently making a stack more to sell at a Market next week.  Wouldn't they make lovely Secret Santa gifts?

As always, you can make these yourselves and order these stamps and inks, etc from me, via my online store , or by contacting me.

I never thought about looking at Staples for pre-made tags. I have been cutting them myself. I am going to look the next time I am in the area of Staples or Office Depot. Great idea.

Getting closer....

It's nearly that time of year, where the retirement list comes out.  That means the in-colours we've loved the past 2 years are leav...
