Retirement List is here!
You can find the retirement List HERE and start shopping - remember things always go very quickly, so don't wait if you see something you've got to have! As always, you can contact me to place your order if you'd prefer.
I'll feature a few of my favourite retiring products in my next few blog posts - I have some work to do today, and I'd best get cracking!

Convention Swaps Part 3

Convention Swaps Part 2
Here's my second swap - this was the most popular. Everyone loved the drop shadow effect behind the banners, and I must admit this was the quickest and easiest card! I simple printed the card fronts 4 to an A4 page of Whisper White, then adhered them to a Very Vanilla card base.
Again, here's the recipe:
Next card tomorrow!

Convention Swaps part 1
One of the most enjoyable things about Convention - or any gathering of stampers, really, is swapping. You make as many cards or card fronts, as you like, then you swap them with other Demonstrators. It's a fun ice breaker, a way to meet people from all over Australia and New Zealand, and a brilliant way to get different samples and ideas and inspiration. You are also supposed to print out a little project recipe which lets others know how you made the card. Did you know in MDS you can get a list of everything you've used at the click of a button? I love that.
I made three different swaps in MDS this year - I printed them at home, and assembled them the night before Convention started. Nothing like leaving things to the last minute, is there?
My first card uses the new (to us) core colour Bermuda Bay - I don't own any of it yet, but because it was an in-colour in the US a few years ago, it is on MDS. Cool! I made the card a hybrid, by printing it as a card front and adhering it to a Sahara Sand card base, with a little Daffodil Delight ribbon. The scallop circle was punched out and adhered with some Dimensionals. It may be difficult to tell from the photo, but I had a bit of a subtle, collaged look going on which looked better in real life. Here's the project recipe (which I also made in MDS, of course!):
I'll share my other two swaps over the next two days.
Don't forget about my monthly class this week (Thursday for the day time; Friday evening). I'd love to see you there!

Stampin' Up! South Pacific Convention 2013
I am at our annual Convention at the moment, which is always fun - but this year is better than ever because it is the 25th Anniversary of Stampin' Up! and it is in Brisbane!
We've had talented Demonstrators show us fun ways to use our gorgeous products; we've had classes on how to use My Digital Studio, integrating social media into our businesses, been given free new products and a copy of the upcoming new 2013-14 Catalogue! I can't show it or the new products yet; but trust me - you'll LOVE it!
Last night was out Awards night and afterparty - so much fun! And today is the last day - still more to come.
Here are some things I can show you:
Here I am with the beautiful and gracious Shelli Gardner, co-founder and CEO of Stampin' Up! |
R-L: Lyanna, Juanita, Steph , Jan at the after party |
One of the lovely display boards (the cards are swaps made by the Demonstrators who attend Convention - mine is there somewhere!) |
This is the fun card we learned to create in the MDS...Yes! class yesterday. |
In the meantime, Happy Stamping!

Also, I m running an ONLINE party this week - the first five people to place an online order through my store, until this Friday night (17th May, 2013 at 7:00pm) using the Hostess Code (KKGGFE9A) will get something pretty from me for their trouble.
An online order is just like any other online shopping - you go to my Online Store , which looks like this:
To start shopping, you simply click "Create Account", enter your details, and off you go! Down the left is an index of all our products, which makes it easy to find what you are looking for. If you want to join my online party, you'll need to enter the Hostess Code. The code won't work after Friday, so make sure you place your order before then!

MDS Monday (On Saturday!)
LOL, I meant to schedule this post for Momday, but instead, I've posted it today (Saturday.) Oops.
Wow, the weeks are rolling by fast, aren't they? May is always an incredibly busy month for me, but at lease MDS is making it quick to scrapbook! Don't get me wrong, I love traditional scrapbooking too, but this is definitely a fast way to get up to date, so you don't feel guilty about all those photos on your computer.
I also tried printing out a photobook with Snapfish - have to say, they did a great job. It was especially easy with the photobooks I've done in MDS, I just uploaded the pages as .jpeg files, and dropped them into black Snapfish pages. I tried a soft cover 8 x 8 inch size, as it wasn't very expensive. It would make a beautiful Mother's Day gift. Here are some photos to show you how they look:
I've also been doing some challenges in a Facebook group called Simply My Digital Studio run by Heather Summers and Kimberly Van Diepen. It's a lot of fun! This week's challenge was a sketch:
What do you think?
Can't go wrong, really!

A Bit of This and That
Your life is: Awesome. Quirky. Exciting. Perfectly messy. And happening really fast. So we're happy to introduce our newest product line that lets you capture it all on-the-go. This and That debuts in the 2013-2014 annual catalogue, but we're giving you and everybody else the chance to get it starting 1 May. And through 31 May, you can get a special bundle with all five products for 15 percent off!
What is it? A Smash Album! It's a do-it-your-own-way, no rules, portable, FUN kind of scrapbooking. I can't wait to try it - and I might get one for my teenaged daughter, sounds like something she'd love too!
Here are the over products you can bundle with it (EEEP! WASHI TAPE!):
This is not your grandmother's scrapbook.
